Beautiful necklace by Phillip Allen Hefner. What first stands out is the lovely chain. The chain is bronze with a copper bath. This creates a much stronger bond than a 14k, 18k or Sterling plating can. The final layer on the chain is a resin seal. Higher end costume jewelry does not turn in the salt air but do take care not to bring any chemicals, perfumes or tanning lotions in contact with your necklace. You should not swim in a pool or in saltwater while wearing your necklace.

The coin in the necklace is an authentic Italian Lira. The coins are either drilled and then 14k wire wrapped or bezel set as appropriate. Other than polish the coins are in their original and natural state. 

General care is best with a damp cloth. Do not use any type of jewelry cleaner on the necklace or coin.
